Task 1: Body Image - Look at this Dove commercial and let's discuss this in terms of reality and body image
Task 2: Use the sites below to answer the following questions using this Word document. Save your work as "sns1_yourname.doc" and put it in my drop box.
1. What is good about social networking sites?
2. What is cyberbullying?
3. Why are parents and teachers so concerned about social networking sites?
4. Why are school administrators and lawmakers interested and concerned about social networking services?
5. Why are colleges and employers interested in your online "space?"
6. Is something really deleted from the site's database when you delete it from your space?
7. Are private spaces really private?
Task 3: Open and save this worksheet in your documents folder.
Pick one of the articles below or search for one of your own on the topic - benefits and concerns about social networking sites. (If you choose one of your own, please print it out for me.) Read the entire article. Fill in the table with information from the article you chose. Print it out when you are done.
