Task 1: Read through the 13 Ed Online Searching Smart Tutorial.

Task 2: Fill out this digital worksheet using the information from 13 Ed Online Searching Smart and put it in my drop box.

Task 3: Keywords: Using these worksheets, (level 6, levels 7and 8) come up with a list of keywords that you would use to seach the Internet to complete the questions or statements. Use quotation marks and Boolean terms to narrow your search. The important lesson is how to come up with the keywords. Try this interactive tool called Visual Thesaurus to help you choose keywords. The assessment is actually finding sites that give you the information that you need.

Task 4: Using this worksheet, answer the questions on the handout. You are looking for two sites that give the same answer to the question. Write the search engine you used, the site names and URLs, and especially the keywords that you used to complete your search.
