Requirements:

Proposal: Print out a proposal and fill in the form.
Storyboards:
Storyboards are graphic organizers that show the scenes in the animation in a rough sketch. A storyboard will help you visualize the complete animation and keep you on track. Making small adjustments along the way are easier than huge fixes toward the end of your project. You will be given a storyboard template to print out and use. You will submit all storyboards as part of your final project.
Animation:
1. Your topic must illustrate something that you are certain is appropriate for all audiences at school. Random acts and violent scenes are not appropriate.
2.You must submit your storyboard. you may make some changes to your storyboard along the way. Keep in mind that this is a 4 week projects and you are expected to use all of your time. Do not keep changing the project and starting over.
3. Your completed animation must not be shorter than 30 seconds or longer than 2 minutes. Your project must have a title screen and have automatic transitions. You may use a different timing for each slide, and the best flow is to set timing at 0 (ZERO) between slides. No matter what the setting, your show must run by itself.
4. You must use hand drawn elements or characters. This includes creating characters and objects from the shapes in PowerPoint.
5. If you use sound or special effects, they must all add to and not detract from your animation.
6. If your topic is ELA, math, science, social studies or ties to any encore area, you will get extra credit. You may also chose to produce a public service announcement. Here is a list of topics.
