1. Take a look at the sites "Mapping Your Future" http://mapping-your-future.org/planning/skillsan.htm. Read the page carefully to help you decide what career to continue to reasearch. If you still can't decide what jobs are interesting try, "The Bureau of Labor and Statistics' Career Information Home Page" (http://www.bls.gov/k12/). Click on some of the jobs that seem interesting to you and read a bit more about each of these.
2. Go to the site Occupational Outlook Handbook (http://www.bls.gov/oco/). Type into the search field the career that you want to research in more depth. This site links to information you will use to help answer some questions on the assessment sheet. Open your home directory on your computer. Create a new folder called firstlastcp. Download the assessment sheet and put your name in the first space in the table. Save the document to your home directory. File - save as - firstlastcp2.doc. (first name:last name: cp2 for careerpaths2). Complete the worksheet. Save it again with the information that you added.
If you complete this you may go on to practice you keyboarding or you may follow more of the helpful links.
